COTSWORKS has returned to participating and developing our community of engineers with six interns this summer. Lucas, Carl, Dennis, Eric, Ryan, and Kyle are college students attending various schools such as Bowling Green State University, Georgia Tech, Cleveland State, and the University of Cincinnati. Their backgrounds range from Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science which will be this summer team’s focused disciplines. Each intern will receive training on circuits, 3D drawing, industry processes including vendor selection and evaluation, datasheet review and analysis, test equipment use and troubleshooting, signal integrity analysis, firmware development, and system level effectiveness. The Director of Engineering, Christine Reid, stated “We value our community and are happy to contribute to developing the next generation of Engineers. It also makes us happy that our interns regularly join our growing team for both part-time work and full-time positions once their internships are over”.
COTSWORKS has mentored over 100 students over 16 years, with most of the engineering team working for COTSWORKS in training or consulting before joining full-time.
